A group of hippies congregates around a bench near Сфинкс (Sphinx) café in Leningrad, 1978. In the foreground along the right edge, a hippie stands with their back to the camera; they obscure another hippie standing behind them. Slighly further back three hippies sit in a row on a bench. A woman with blond hair sits at left. She rests her elbows to her knees and her cheek to her knuckles as she looks to the left. The man sitting on the bench at center sits with legs crossed and looking to camera. The man to the right of him also sits with crossed legs and looks to camera. He raises his hand behind the man sitting at center and shows the V sign. Trees and a building are visible in the background. Attached to the verso of this image is Zaitsev 946.
