Five men sit around a table and take tea in Mogilev, 1981. The group sits around a rectangular table that enters frame from the lower right corer. On the far side of the table, a man in suspenders stands along the left edge. He holds a teapon in one hand and a larger kettle in the other; his gaze drifts upward. Beside and to the right of him, another man is seated. He points a finger upward while also glancing upward. Two men are seated to the right of him. Both sit facing left and gaze downward. The fifth person sits nearest to camera and on the near side of the table; his back faces the camera. This man is in the process of raising his cup of tea. The table they sit around is lined with newspaper and is covered with loaves of bread, cups of tea and sweetener containers. A window with its blinds drawn is in the background at left and wall shelving is in the background at right.
