Following sections outline his contributions to the Bolshevik party, his relationship with Vladimir Lenin, his childhood, his role in the 1917 October Revolution, his push towards the industrialization of the USSR, his development of the Soviet Constitution, his leadership of the Soviet Army during World War II, and even a feature on various gifts given to him by intellectuals, workers, and diplomats. Contextual Note: 'USSR in Construction' was a Soviet propaganda magazine published from 1930 to 1941 and briefly in 1949.
