The item is an "Identi-Kit Model II" containing hundreds of mylar cards representing distinguishing facial features. The categories listed are: eyes, lips, eyebrows, age lines, beards, hair, noses, head gear, chins, and glasses. When placed together, the cards create a composite image that can build a likeness to a suspect until they are obtained. Along with these cards is an index chart, blank white card, measurement card, Identi-Kit handbook, metal divider and letter from the Identi-Kit Company regarding replacement parts for the Identi-Kit itself. When they were available, a new Identi-Kit box cost about $1,500.00 and were sold directly by S&W to police departments and other law enforcement agencies. There are two supplementary pieces of cardstock intended to support the mylar cards that did not originally come with the kit.
