The object is a ceramic figure of a shepherd. He is garbed in a brown cloak, white suit, and pointed brown shoes. He possesses a bowl cut and mustache. It appears he was originally made in shiny white ceramic, and was painted in matte brown, blue, pink, cream, green, and orange. He also has shiny gold details painted throughout his figure. It was created in the Yerevan Porcelein Factory, which existed from 1947-1988 and ceased production of figurines in 1976. The iteration of the stamp on the bottom also notes that it is likely from the 1950's-1960's. Two artist sculptors helped shape factory's style - R. Simonyan and V. Teruni. In 1960's and 1970's porcelain figurines based on Armenian folk and traditions were designed by D. Babayan and A. Chakmakchan.
